FOR BUSINESSES BUILT AROUND PEOPLE, NOT SYSTEMS
Be found by the people who need you most
someone who's Googled
this at 2amThe Spoonie Support Hub is Australia’s accessible provider directory, connecting chronically ill, disabled, and neurodivergent Australians with providers who truly get it. If accessibility is genuinely part of how you operate - not just something you say - there's a place for you here.
Why providers choose the Hub
Person The right audience
Our community is actively searching for providers like you - spoonies who are done with dismissal and looking for someone who understands.
Verified Verified and trusted
Every listing is reviewed before it goes live. Your place in the Hub signals that you meet a standard your clients already care about.
Favorite Values-aligned
This isn't a volume directory. It's a curated space built around dignity, accessibility, and lived experience - and your listing reflects that.
Battery_Android_3 Energy-aware by design
We've built the Hub to reduce friction at every step - for your clients and for you. No complicated onboarding, no endless admin.
All_match Fewer mismatched enquiries
Spoonies come to us knowing what they're looking for, so you spend less time fielding enquiries that aren't the right fit.
Diversity_4 A community that refers
Spoonies trust each other. When your listing earns trust here, it travels - through community groups, word of mouth, and peer recommendations.
Built for those who do things differently
WHO WE’RE FOR
You don't need to be in healthcare.
If you've intentionally designed your space, services, or communication to be accessible and neuroaffirming - there's a place for you here.
And more. If your business is designed around people with limited capacity, we want to hear from you.
THE HUB STANDARD
Every listing is reviewed before it goes live. We're not a directory you can just pay to join - your listing needs to reflect a genuine commitment to accessibility.
We assess every application against three things:
What it means to be a verified provider
Accessibility
Can someone with a chronic illness, disability, or fluctuating capacity actually access what you offer? We look at things like booking flexibility, telehealth options, and whether adjustments are clearly communicated or buried in the fine print.
Spoonie awareness
Do you understand the realities of living with chronic illness, disability, or neurodivergence? This shows up in how you talk about energy limits, pacing, fluctuating capacity and the systems that aren’t built for spoonies.
Dignity and respect
Is your approach genuinely person-centred? We look for evidence that clients are believed, communication is clear and non-dismissive, and your business reflects a real commitment to doing less harm - not just saying the right things.
A provider needs to meet the standard across all three to be listed - not just one.

A note from Laurissa"I built this process to be as low-spoon as possible - because I know what it's like to run a business when your own capacity is limited. If you get stuck at any point, just reach out."

Questions we get asked a lot
-
Not necessarily. The Hub includes allied health practitioners, psychologists, and GPs as well as businesses and services (such as accommodation providers, retailers, and personal-care services) that are genuinely accessible and neuroaffirming. What matters is that accessibility is a real part of how you work - not a marketing claim.
-
You start by submitting a short application telling us about your service and how you support people with chronic illness, disability, or neurodivergence. We review every application against our verification standards before anyone joins the directory. If you're a good fit, we'll send you a payment link and access to your member account to complete your listing. Most applications are reviewed within 2 - 3 business days.
-
Yes. You can cancel your subscription at any time through your member account. Your listing will remain active until the end of your current billing period, then it will be unpublished. For more details, see our Membership Terms and Conditions.
-
Your membership renews automatically each month, and the fee is charged to your saved payment method. This continues until you cancel. However, once a year we'll prompt you to review and update your listing details. This keeps the directory accurate for the people using it - and makes sure your listing reflects any changes in your services or availability.
-
Yes. Because of how our payment system works, upgrades take effect at the end of your current billing cycle. To start the process, submit a request through our Contact page, and we'll guide you through cancelling your Verified subscription and signing up to the Featured plan. We'll take care of updating your listing once the new plan is active.
-
If your application isn't approved, we'll always let you know why. Once you've had a chance to review and address our feedback, you're welcome to reapply should you wish to.
