Answers about using the directory, what "verified" means, and what to do if something doesn't feel right.
-
It's a directory of verified, accessible service providers for chronically ill, disabled, and neurodivergent people across Australia. Every listing is checked before it goes live, so you're not left guessing whether a provider will actually understand what you need.
-
Yes. Browsing and searching the directory doesn't cost you anything.
-
No. You can browse, search, and filter the directory without signing up for anything.
-
Use the "I'm looking for" dropdown to choose a service category, then narrow it down by location and NDIS status if that's relevant to you. If you know roughly what you're after, the search bar is often the quickest way in.
-
It means we've checked this listing meets our criteria for accessible, values-aligned support before it was published. It's not a guarantee of a perfect fit for you personally, but it is a sign that the provider has been through our review process.
You can find out more about our verification process here.
-
Every provider goes through an application and review process before they're listed. We look for providers who genuinely understand energy limits, sensory needs, and lived experience, not providers who've simply ticked a box.

-
No. The Hub is for anyone managing chronic illness, disability, or neurodivergence, whether or not you have a formal diagnosis.
-
No, we're Australia-wide. You can filter by location to find providers near you, or search more broadly if you're open to remote or online support. Our directory is still growing, so for now, you can search by State, but in the future we hope to be able to expand it to a city-based search.
-
The directory is growing, so there may be gaps, especially in newer categories or specific locations. You can get in touch if you have a provider you’d like us to consider adding, or if there is something specific that you’re after and you can’t find it. [Link: /contact]
-
Providers apply and go through a review process. We're looking for genuine alignment with accessible, dignity-first care, not just a willingness to pay for a listing.
-
That can happen, and it's not a reflection on you. Every person's needs are different. If something feels off about a listing or your experience with a provider, we'd like to know. [Link: /contact]
-
Yes. Browsing the directory doesn't require you to share any personal information. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle data. And if you’d like to book with a certain provider, you do so directly with them, not through The Spoonie Support Hub website.
For Providers
Answers about applying, what verification involves, and how listings and pricing work.
-
Health, wellbeing, and support professionals, as well as businesses that intentionally design their environment, policies, or offerings to be accessible, neuroaffirming, or disability-friendly. That includes allied health practitioners, psychologists, GPs, specialists, and coaches, as well as spoonie-friendly businesses like accommodation providers, retailers, and personal-care services.

If you are interested in having a listing on our directory, you can apply here. We will review your application against our verification standards and if you're approved, we'll send you a payment link. Once that's done, log in to your member account and fill out your listing details. We will then get your listing live for you.
If you’re not approved, we will still contact you to let you know why. We won’t just ghost you, we promise.

We aim to review applications within two to three business days.

Verified Provider is our base listing tier. Featured Provider is our upper tier, with additional visibility and promotional inclusions.
Both tiers include:
A verified directory listing, including your business name, logo and tagline; your service description; your location and/or telehealth options; your contact details and more
A launch announcement to our community once your listing is live
Access to the members-only resource hub (coming soon)
If you opt to be a Featured Provider, you get all of this, plus:
A featured placement on the homepage (on a rotational basis)
A feature in our new providers email
Other visibility bonuses within our community, such as social media spotlights, blog contributions and more
Early access to new features
Priority support
You can see the full comparison here.

Featured providers are eligible for seasonal spotlight placement, but it's not guaranteed for every provider in every season. We rotate these to keep things fair.

Featured provider: $29 per month
We have a launch offer (50% off for your first three months) available until 7 October. You can see all of the details here.
-
Yes. Your membership renews automatically each month, and the fee is charged to your saved payment method. This continues until you cancel.
-
Not directly. You'll submit your details and any updates through your provider portal, and we'll make the changes on our end. This keeps listings consistent and means nothing goes live without a final check.
-
Log in to your provider portal and use the update listing form. We aim to make updates within two to three business days.
-
Yes. Once your listing is live, we'll email to let you know. You can also find your listing at any time by searching for your business name in the directory.
-
Yes. Because of how our payment system works, upgrades take effect at the end of your current billing cycle. To start the process, submit a request through our Contact page, and we'll guide you through cancelling your Verified subscription and signing up to the Featured plan. We'll take care of updating your listing once the new plan is active.
-
There's no lock-in period. You can cancel at any time, either by emailing us or by managing your payment under "Subscriptions" in your account settings. Your cancellation takes effect the following month, so your listing stays active until then. Fees already paid aren't refunded.
-
No. Membership fees aren't refundable, other than in the limited circumstances set out in our Terms and Conditions.
-
No, memberships aren't transferable between people or businesses. If ownership changes, you will need to cancel your listing and the new owner will need to apply for a new listing if they would like to continue being listed on the directory.
-
Genuine alignment with accessible, neuroaffirming practice. We're not after volume, we're after providers who treat accessibility as part of how they work, not as a marketing angle.
-
There's no formal qualification requirement beyond aligning with our standards for accessible, neuroaffirming care. We do, however, ask for your ABN or ACN as part of the application, to confirm you're an operating business.
-
If your application isn't approved, we'll always let you know why. Once you've had a chance to review and address our feedback, you're welcome to reapply should you wish to.
