About Minds of Colour Psychology

Minds of Colour Psychology is an online psychology practice led by Kelly, a Clinical Psychologist who offers therapy for adults, autism and ADHD assessments, gender-affirming assessments, and clinical supervision.

Kelly's work is grounded in neuroaffirming, gender-affirming, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive care. She recognises that our identities, relationships, health, and lived experiences all shape how we understand ourselves and move through the world. She also understands that the systems we're expected to navigate aren't always designed to recognise or accommodate our needs.

Her approach is collaborative, compassionate, and guided by curiosity rather than judgement. Kelly aims to create a space where you can explore your experiences openly, without feeling pressured to mask, perform, justify your needs, or fit someone else's expectations. You don't need to have all the answers or find the perfect words before reaching out.

An important part of Kelly's approach is recognising that distress doesn't happen in isolation. Experiences of ableism, racism, minority stress, cisnormativity, heteronormativity, and inaccessible environments can all affect wellbeing. Rather than focusing only on individual symptoms or difficulties, she considers the broader social and systemic factors that may be contributing to what you're experiencing.

Whether you're seeking therapy or an assessment, Kelly approaches the process as an opportunity to better understand yourself, recognise your strengths and support needs, and explore what feels meaningful and useful to you. Her work respects your lived experience and acknowledges that sometimes the challenges you're facing are shaped by environments and expectations that haven't made room for your needs.

Minds of Colour Psychology offers telehealth services Australia-wide, with flexibility around communication, processing styles, pacing, and energy needs. Kelly's approach centres on meeting you where you are, rather than expecting you to adapt yourself to a rigid process.

At the heart of her practice is the belief that you deserve support that sees the whole person, respects your identity and experiences, and doesn't ask you to make yourself smaller to fit.
