About Daffodil Psychology & Consulting
Daffodil Psychology & Consulting offers individual telehealth therapy with Ash, a registered psychologist who brings both professional knowledge and lived experience of chronic health conditions to her practice.
Ash has particular interests in health and medical psychology, psycho-oncology, neurodivergence, palliative care, grief and loss, and supporting people navigating the intersection of physical health and mental health.
Sessions are designed to be flexible around different environments, energy levels, and capacity. Appointments can take place by video or phone, and clients can switch between the two depending on what works best at the time — including during hospital stays or on days when a phone session uses less energy. There’s no expectation to use a particular device or have your camera on, provided you’re somewhere safe and confidential.
Ash encourages clients to make sessions work around their needs rather than trying to fit a particular idea of what therapy should look like. That might mean having a pet nearby, eating or drinking during the appointment, doing a simple task while talking, or changing the session format when capacity shifts.
Her approach also recognises that previous experiences with healthcare and support services can affect how safe therapy feels. If you’ve felt dismissed, judged, excluded, or unsupported before, there’s space to talk about what happened, how those experiences might show up in therapy, and how you’d prefer concerns or feedback to be handled. Ash checks in during sessions and offers ways to raise concerns outside of face-to-face conversation if that feels easier.
Afternoon and after-hours appointments make up much of Ash’s availability, with appointments offered as late as 8 pm and some Saturday and Sunday availability. A flexible cancellation policy and open communication around changing appointment times or session modes are also part of the practice.
